Hollywood Street
Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India, once called Manipur a “ Jewel of India”. The Jewel is now covered in blood and tears, doused with heroin, and completely neglected. Meanwhile, the rest of India is marching towards shining glory. Hollywood Street, a narrow stretch thronged with drug dealers and prostitutes in the town of Churchandpur, is a snap shot of human catastrophe caused by the ongoing tribal conflicts in Manipur.
